Did you recently break a tooth? If so, you must be a little worried. Fortunately, if you follow Dr. Massood Nouri’s instructions, you should be able to handle the situation and even save your smile. Those instructions are:

-Call our office at 972-733-0106. When you talk to our dental team, schedule an emergency appointment. Next, rinse your mouth with cold water and then ice outside the injured area. This will help wash the mouth and reduce swelling. Then, take over-the-counter pain medication if you have severe pain.

-Collect all of the pieces of your tooth. This is important because you’ll bring them with you to your appointment. Your dentist will try to put your tooth back together. So, keep the tooth pieces in a safe place.

-Consider wearing a mouthguard while you are active. A mouthguard will cover your teeth and protect your smile from injury in the future. There are many mouthguards available, so please feel free to talk to your dentist about your options.
